Gayle M. Halevy
Ms. Halevy is a 2003 graduate of the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, and a 2007 graduate of Brooklyn Law School. Prior to joining Rosenberg Jacobs Heller & Fleming, Ms. Halevy worked in New York City for thirteen years, where she was a partner at a well-recognized firm, and where her practice was almost exclusively devoted to the defense of medical facilities and providers, including nursing homes, hospitals, doctors and nurses, in both New York and New Jersey. In defending her nursing home clients, Ms. Halevy has had remarkable success in advantageously getting Public Health Law 2801-d and punitive damages claims dismissed before ever going to the jury, significantly changing the narrative and exposure of these cases at trial. Ms. Halevy also has experience in employment litigation, construction litigation, commercial litigation, premises liability and automobile accidents. Over the past five years, Ms. Halevy has tried over 15 cases, many of which resulted in defense verdicts for her clients, and some of which resulted in favorable settlements during trial. In addition to taking cases to trial that she has handled from inception, Ms. Halevy, who has been recognized by her clients as a fearless and zealous advocate, has also been retained as trial counsel for other firms unwilling or incapable of taking cases to trial. Ms. Halevy’s experience includes litigation in State and Federal Courts in both New York and New Jersey, at the trial and appellate levels.
