Lawrence H. Jacobs, Partner
Mr. Jacobs graduated summa cum laude from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1977 with a BA in English and cum laude from Seton Hall University School of Law with a JD in 1980, where he served as an associate editor of the Seton Hall Law Review. First licensed to practice in New Jersey in 1980, Mr. Jacobs next was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1982. On the federal level, he is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, U.S. District Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the Federal District Court. He is a member of the New Jersey, Florida and Bergen County Bar Associations.

During Mr. Jacobs' 31-year legal career, he has successfully defended Hospitals, Doctors, Dentists, Nurses, Chiropractors, Podiatrists and other allied health care professionals against medical negligence suits, and represented many health care practitioners before their respective professional licensing boards. He has also represented lawyers and other professionals in defense of professional malpractice claims. For more than 15 years, he has served as general counsel to a community hospital and has participated as a member of its Bio-ethics Committee. Mr. Jacobs has conducted mock trials and presented seminars in order to familiarize health care professionals with the legal system, to assist them in preventing such claims and to present a more effective defense against lawsuits when they are brought.
